Friday I got my notice from the USCIS that it is time to remove conditions.

So, we're back here where we got so many good answers and reassurance when the nerves hit during this long, long ride.

I've been looking through the papers and most of it is pretty clear, my 16 year old son can file with me since he got his card within 90 days after I got mine and I am assuming, like always, we have to pay for everything twice, for me and him.

What isn't really clear for me after reading is the fingerprinting.

My guess is that we just have to add the money for the biometrics and we will get an appointment to have our fingerprints taken ?

Or do we have to organize that ourselves?

And is there anything else I need to do to file for my son besides adding his name to part 5 of the I-751?

hiya peet! can you update your VJ timeline? it still says you are K-1!

it is very likely you will have to re-do fingerprints/biometrics (i think that have to be less than a year old? someone will tell you.)

after you submit your i-751, you will receive a NOA1 (extending your green card validity by one year) and a NOA2 (which tell you when the biometrics appointment is at your local office). it is not something you set-up yourself.

and you add the fees together and send with your i-751 package.

OP, you've got it right. Add on the biometrics fees, as you will have to do it all over again. You'll get a notice just like last time. Most people get theirs within 2-4 weeks of NOA1. Ours took longer because our office is supposedly so busy, even though it was empty when we were there.

Thanks both, thought it was this way, but sometimes the paperwork just isn't clear.

I changed my status, had done my timeline but hadn't realized I needed to change my profile also.
