It can take about 2 weeks before it arrives to consulate.

The day they say they sent it to the embassy isn't always the ship day. Sometimes they hold packets until they have a few to send to the same embassy (I would imagine so that they can save on shipping. This is a reason some people have their packets received by the embassy in two days and others in a few weeks all other things being equal.

It was sent to Mumbai consulate right?

They just opened up a new consulate and are shifting things from Old to New consulate right now.

It could be somewhere in the transfer or it still has not arrived yet.

I would call back in the middle/end of the week to inquire about your file.

NVC FORWARDED MY K1 VISA PETITION TO CONSULATE ON 14TH NOVEMBER BUT STILL EMBASSY DID NOT RECEIVED MY PETITION. HOW CAN I FIND WHERE IS MY PETITION ?

We're still waiting since 28th of October for Mumbai to receive our petition from NVC! I hear it could take about a month and add in the closure for the move and all of the holidays --- who knows?? I'm just hoping our petition doesn't expire before we get everything else taken care of in time for the interview - which we still have no idea when that will be either! And they said Packet 3 was mailed out to us on 1st of November -- we're still waiting on that too! :whistle: Best of luck to all of us!

Visa in hand: 05/20/2015 (Yay!) ELIS Fee ($165) paid this day as well

SSN card received: 6/8/2015 (processed on 6/2/2015) // ELIS shows "Optimized" since 5/30/2015  // ELIS changed to "In Process" 07/14/2015. (E-file received 06/25/15)
