New DCF Rules.

Since Aug 2011. They changed the DCF rules. Now only a select number of people can do DCF. Do you think this has made the prrocess faster? or slower?

I don't think it has made any difference, because the countries that still do DCF have the same workload of DCF cases, as the process for DCF cases is handled all within the country.

I suppose it could temporarily lead to shorter waiting times for interview of non-DCF cases already in the queue for countries where DCF is no longer an option, because there are no more DCF cases "jumping the queue".

Yes, Ireland was one of the faster ones, even for DCF.

It is hard to make a general statement about DCF because procedures and timelines vary country to country.

In China, the process has definitely slowed down. The USCIS office in Beijing was approving I-130 petitions in less than a month and is now averaging 3 months. Is this specific to the policy change of August 15th? It is really difficult to say.
