1. You need to have gotten married and then file for AOS, and AP (Advance Parole). Do not leave the USA until you have AP or your greencard, about 3 months.

2. Check the reviews here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/poereviews.php?poe=JFK&dfilter=0

1. Depends on you. Get married, file for the AOS and an Advanced Parole. Usually 2-3 months minimum, longer if you wait to do it. IF you had some sort of emergency you could make an appoitnment and aply for a emergency AP, but ONLY after getting married and filing for the AOS. The AP protects your "status" and allows you to return. Until you get married and file for AOS you have no status to "protect". This is why I always suggest that K-1s do this as soon as possible

2. POE is not particularly difficult. In addition to coming on a K-1 through JFK my family has re-entered at JFK several times and the process is similar either way. The main problem at JFK is that they are very busy and you can expect to wait 2 hours or more just to get through the lines. Sometimes it is faster but do notplan on it. Allow 4 hours between connecting flights if you have them.

You can leave the US at any time.....but if you want to get back in, you have two choices:

1. Marry within 90 days and then file for the GC and AP and wait the few months for that. Then you can use the AP or GC to get back in.

2. Marry and then leave and when you're ready to come back file for a spouse visa, wait the number of months that will take and then come back.

Number 1 is suggested.

2.Does anyone recentlly pass the POE in NY(JFK airport)? How was?

Crowded.

Thank u,in advanced,for your answers!

Yipeee im in USA now:)with my fiance.

So...i didnt pass the POE at JFK aiport because we had some problems with the tickets and we needed to change them so that way Orlando was the POE which was good and easy:)

The interview lasted kind of 5-10 min, but I did wait almost 40 min in a room with other ppl that were there for a different type of visa, till a immigration officer called me in another room for the interview.

I was asked a few questions like; if i now i need get married in 90 days,if the address from the I-94 is the one i will live,if i worked something/somewhere before I arrived in the USA, if i did bring with me some illegal things, what day i will get married...i think this was all:) oh and "welcome to USA" :P

Good luck too all!
