Got GUZ# Need double check steps.

Hi friends!

I finally got the GUZ number from the NVC. Took 29 days!

Can you take a look at my summarized coming up steps? Thanks for your time!

1. Call NVC to give my and wife's e-mail addresses and ask for the AOS Fee Bill and DS-3032 via e-mail.

2. pay the AOS Fee Bill online; wait for receipt

3. Wait for IIN

4. NVC OPTIN e-mail from wife

5. e-mail DS-3032 electronic request (not scan) from wife

6. pay Affidavit of Support (AOS) fee bill; wait for receipt

7. e-mail in I-864 and support docs from wife

8. pay IV fee bill; wait for receipt

9. e-mail in DS-230 from wife

I found the use of NVCINQUIRY@state.gov and NVCElectronic@state.gov in different postings. Which one is correct?

Answers in bold:

1. Call NVC to give my and wife's e-mail addresses and ask for the AOS Fee Bill and DS-3032 via e-mail. - yes

2. pay the AOS Fee Bill online; wait for receipt - yes

3. Wait for IIN - Don't wait, call and get that right now

4. NVC OPTIN e-mail from wife - You can send the OPTIN email

5. e-mail DS-3032 electronic request (not scan) from wife - No, scan and attach a DS-3032 signed by your wife to your OPTIN email

6. pay Affidavit of Support (AOS) fee bill; wait for receipt - duplicate post, you already addressed that at #2

7. e-mail in I-864 and support docs from wife - yes

8. pay IV fee bill; wait for receipt - yes

9. e-mail in DS-230 from wife - don't forget the civil documents that must go with the DS-230

I found the use of NVCINQUIRY@state.gov and NVCElectronic@state.gov in different postings. Which one is correct?

The OPTIN email and appropriate packages (I-864, DS-230) will be emailed to NVCElectronic@state.gov

3 before 2, it comes in the AOS fee bill.

5 is a dual thing in one email. A SCAN of the ds-3032, with her signature, and the OPT IN bio data in the BODY of the email.

FINAL BIT - you may be one of the newbies pegged for the DS-260 usage - if you are, please note it's no longer the DS-3032 form, it's something else.

1. I received the AOS invoice this morning.

2. OPTIN e-mail sent from Partitioner's e-mail.

3. OPTIN e-mail again from Partitioner's e-mail. (Forgot to attached the DS-3032)

4. I paid the AOS bill of $88 online. Printed the receipt and Coversheet to PDF.

The status of the payment is still IN PROCESS

5. I-864 READY to be sent from Beneficiary's e-mail - signed with Coversheet in front, 3-year IRS transcripts and 6-month paystubs. Waiting for GZO number??

Do #5 after receiving GZO# ?

When can I expect the IV Fee Bill to arrive?

This can be sent from the petitioner's email as well as the DS-230 package.

Do #5 after receiving GZO# ?

When can I expect the IV Fee Bill to arrive?

Wait for the GZO number and wait for the appropriate bill to indicate "PAID" before sending anything.

Using my timeline as a guide, your IV bill could appear 4-5 days after you receive your GZO number.

5 is sent from petitioner's email, not beneficiary's.

send nothing until you have a gzo number assigned. this is the hardest waiting bit, imo.

i suggest some shared yahoo account, and you prep all, save to drafts folder, then she actually pushes the button.

When it was my time to send #2 (the OPTIN email), I sent it from my email address (non-shared) and I attached a signed DS-3032. Had no issues getting a GZO number. Others petitioners on CFL posted they sent the OPTIN email from their own email and had no issues getting a GZO number.
