Its about time that the USA faced up to the reality that there are two distinct cultures - the north and the south

600,000 Americans were killed in the first clash between these two groups and nothing changed in the mind-set

The two are locked in a miserable marriage and the rift gets larger with ever passing day

Cut the south loose to form a new version of South Africa under Pik Botha, but with lower educational standards and more extreme voodoo religious stuff

You know I have read about 10 of your posts and they are all filled with rubbish. It's ok that you have different ideas but your tone comes off as boorish and inflammatory. If you say it differently people will listen to your message.

I relocated from the rightous NORTH and I VOTED for OBAMA and now I live in the BACKWARDS SOUTH full of people who launder their cloths with washbords and use seperate bubblers. Not.

I should have read your post before I moved here....4 years ago. Opps wait maybe I shouldn't have because it's acutally great here and the people are not all that different than a lot of the people in the north. Yes I'm the only guy in the room with a vowel for a last name, and no I never ate velvet cake before, but I've adjusted. You are more likely to get into a real fight over college ball (we don't have that up in the rightous north because we watch NFL instead) than a race fight. I won't get into the racism, yes its here, yes it gets thicker when you go to poorer and less educated parts, but you know what? Maybe I should wait for you to tell me. Or better yet, I'll tell you...when I told all my friends - college educated, lawyers, state police, MBAs, etc. that I was going there, they were all amazed that I'd move to a place full of blacks. They didn't use the term blacks actually. You can fill that one in as you see fit. All lifers in one of the bluest states in the union.

So come live in Atlanta for 4 years and then you and I can file for cabinet in the new South Africa you speak of. Or you can buy a ticket back to England and fly away.

To the moderator you can delete my post or edit it for all you see fit but I'll tell you what, you should delete the grease on the fire posts that this guy stamps up along with them.
