Doesn't pass the smell test. Georgia is a right to work state, and the "at will" provisions mean that you can be fired without a reason being stated. Methinks he is looking for an out, and a headline.

I love the way they entitled these things the opposite of what they are

" No right to appeal against getting fired State" would be more accurate

What next, calling a slaughterhouse the "Loving chariot to heaven, cattle go to sleep factory"

I think a quick look at the last 100 years of history will change your mind on that - the most foul crimes against humanity and against what what christ advocated are accelerating all the time

He is on a loser for sure

Or he would be if he existed

But he doesn't

Never did

shame eh

Yes you are right, those things have happened, but under the influence of the devil. Christ cannot loose because doing evil never leads to fullness of joy. It leads to short term satisfaction. Christ Lives, you may not believe that but I do. Christ will take his rightful place as king of the world in due time.

Right to work is not the same thing as employment at will. That aside, you can be terminated for any reason except an illegal one. And there are many illegal reasons.

To avoid an argument, I've posted below as it pertains to Georgia:

EMPLOYMENT AT WILL

Georgia recognizes the doctrine of employment at will. Employment at will means that in the absence of a written contract of employment for a defined duration, an employer can terminate an employee for good cause, bad cause or no cause at all, so long as it is not an illegal cause

DISCRIMINATION

Race, Color, Religion, Sex or National Origin: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination (any adverse employment action) by employers of 15 or more employees, employment agencies, and labor organizations on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

I live in Georgia and they don'e even have to state a cause. The fact that he is asserting they fired him for an illegal cause does not pass the smell test. They normally just say "we don't need you any longer". If they actually stated the reason he says, any HR dept would be on them like a ton of bricks. I predict he will not prove his case.

That's true. They don't have to have a cause, but even if they don't state any cause, the employee can still sue. Then it depends on who has the most proof (or possibly who is the most believable). At that point the employer will still have to prove they didn't fire the guy for religious reasons, or as I said at least have better proof than he does.

It's possible the refusal to wear the sticker has nothing to do with the termination, but the fact that it happened at all certainly isn't going to help the employer in court.

When I used to hire people, I used to discriminate on grounds of stupidity, smellyness, obesity, squeaky voice, morbid facial expression, second job (pole dancer) etc etc

That was legal in the UK and it still is and I guess its legal here

I could not fire on any of those reasons but it seems that in the US you can because it would be an undisclosed "No reason"

To show some solidarity, I'm writing the numbers on a piece of paper and putting it in my wallet.

Then as I'm sitting throughout the day, the mark will be where the sun don't shine.

Yay !!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

As there is no god and no devil, I am quite prepared to announce right now, and before the whole world that

I LOVE THE DEVIL ! GO DEVIL ! DE-VIL DE-VIL DE-VIL !

However, as I live in the USA, I wont get it tattooed because christians here have guns and boy they are vicious and known to murder in the name of jesus and especially in the name of the holy ghost who is a real joker and can wisp under toilet doors - but people don't always know he is joking

We have free speech here, but that doesn't mean you wont be beaten to a pulp, blinded and have your car vandalized if you have the wrong bumper sticker. I suppose that's what Reagan meant when he referred to the "price of freedom"

..yes that is certainly classed as a residual body fluid when it is found in listed locations - and it can be lawfully analyzed and added to the FBI database

I have my 666 micro engraved on a dried piece of snot which I secrete on the handle of my wife's carry on luggage

So far it remains undetected
