Hey Folks -

I am an lpr - I had a drivers permit from NB..it reads, "Graduated drivers license"...I went into the dmv office and asked if i cld switch this over...the 'teller' wasnmt really sure what to do (as usual...thro' this process..lol)i told her it was a graduated drivers license...at the end of it she issued me a maine drivers license...at the time i was excited and thought great! But now i feel like i shld go back and tell them the difference...advice please! They gave me temp., paper and said i wld rec the card in less then 2 weeks...hubby says wait and see what they send that perhaps they will figure it out on their own...I am not comfortable!!

Looking at the Maine DMV website there "provisional" drivers licences are age and time driving related. i.e. if you are over 21 and a new driver you get a provisional licence for a year then a regular one. http://www.maine.gov/sos/bmv/licenses/getlicense.html#class=

Take a look at the ages/requirements and if you feel you were issued a full licence in error then by all means you can go and say you think she made a mistake and why.

the maine bmv is weird. i agree with your husband wait until you receive the license itself, it will probably be fine.

Biometrics: 11/30/11

Approval: 08/17/12

Hold what you got and maintain.
