I have completed AOS and Immigrant Visa Application Fee bill and DS 3032, waiting be contacted by NVC to go to the next step, how are things going with USCIS??

Thanks for the update! I am sure it won't be long before your case is complete.

We still haven't heard anything from USCIS, and the processing times at VSC continue to be stuck at January 2011. I am starting to think that our petition will not go anywhere until my husband becomes a citizen. He has just done his biometrics this week, and it's possible that he could have his interview next month and the oath in May. I had really hoped we'd have a completed case by the time he naturalizes, but I don't see that happening now. On the positive side, I am still confident that we'll be together before the end of the year!

Good luck and keep us updated!

My F2A/IR-1 journey:

USCIS:
4 August 2011: I-130 sent (while husband permanent resident)
8 August 2011: Priority date
16 April 2013: NOA2

NVC:

7 May 2013: Case number received, DS-3032 sent

15 May 2013: AOS bill received and paid

16 May 2013: AOS package sent

17 May 2013: DS-3032 accepted

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent

11 June 2013: response to IV checklist sent

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

2 July 2013: Case completed

28 August 2013: Interview - approved!

21 September 2013: POE

18 November 2013: Green card received

My husband's citizenship journey:

8 February 2013: N-400 sent
4 March 2013: Biometrics
24 April 2013: Interview
12 June 2013: Oath ceremony

Fjoal and guvnor, how is your NVC process going?

Every other things are done, with the exception of submitting the DS230 and the supporting docs; will wait a bit before sending those in.

Thats great news!!I think this will accelerate the process and is a great opportunity. I would have to wait 3 more years to become citizen and if I wasn't approved now I would have lost my hopes with VSC. Hope you guys will be together by the end of this year and good luck on his interview. I will update my case here. Thanks Athena

I am hoping i get a June interview date but i am throwing a wide hope for MAY if case can be upgraded quick enough.

Congrats on the case complete! So your wife is planning to do same-day oath? My husband's citizenship interview is a week after your wife's, but it seems that the office in Lawrence, MA doesn't do oath ceremonies on the date of the interview. We'll probably have to wait until May to upgrade our case. I am just hoping we'll have our NOA2 before then, as it seems that upgrading the case at the NVC is much quicker than at USCIS.

I wanted to share the happy news here too: we have been approved! I am so relieved that the most time-consuming part of the process is now over, and excited about NVC. I'll need to read up again on what needs to be done next; we've started preparing ourselves already, but I still find the NVC process somehow confusing and will need to review the next steps once more. Does anyone here have any tips?

Congrats!!!! I'm a February 2012 filer. I've been watching your progress very closely to get an idea of what will happen with my case. I'm hoping that we will get NOA2 by September 2013. Congrats again!!!

Thank you!

You are also a VSC filer, aren't you? They seem to be doing an amazing job at the moment with F2A cases, and if they keep this up, you might have your NOA2 very soon. Best of luck!
