It's almost appointment time! Our appointment is in Montreal at 9am on Monday November 21! I have read a lot of topics and reviews saying be there as early as possible but if our appointment is at 9 what time should we really be there?

Be there early before the doors open so you aren't stuck there all day waiting! my appointment was for 9 am and by 7am the line was down the block and I was in and out one of the first people interviewed. I was standing there at 6:45 am and I was 2nd in line and just after I got in line everyone was starting to show up.

Read the info at the bottom of your consulate page for why to be early

Well, there is another info on OP's question. Look here.

In addition, I have some information from great and awesome VJ-member Saylin, where she replied via e-mail on my exact question about time appearance at consulate. So, it looks like those who got their interview scheduled, let's say, within 8:00 am - 10:00 am, should be let in when the consulate opens. And still, it's on officer's discretion.

Others got rejected and told to come back later.

I'm kinda worried too, because my wife got her interview scheduled at 11:00 am. I brought up that concern on VJ, and no one could clearly tell - when to show up. I personally have no willing to show up at 6-7 knowing that I would be turned back .

And I don't agree with statement: "First to come - first to serve". Why then are we given then appointment letters and later appointments get rejected for showing up far ahead of time?

Thank you everyone for responding.. we are probably going to show up around 7. Even if we have to wait a while we are staying that night in Montreal. Thanks again for the posts and good luck to everyone :)
