Hello everyone my name is Archie and I'm deployed overseas working in the civil service as a US Merchant Mariner. I just received the NOA1 for my Fiancee's Petition not to long ago. Since it would take another 5 months to get the NOA2. My fiancee is currently staying in the Philippines and we have a 1 year old son who's already is a US Citizen. My question is? Can I apply my fiancee for a tourist visa to come to the US even though she has a pending Fiancee petition on the way? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Everyone please help me and feedback will be great. Thank you all. thank god I found this site. god bless :help:

It is extremely unlikely your fiance will get a tourist visa. She is engaged to a US citizen with a US citizen child

Does she have exceptionally strong ties to PI that she can show to combat the imiplied immigrant intent?

Good luck

Hello everyone and thanks again VJ for helping us out go through the K-1 visa Process. On January 23, 2012 my K-1 Petition has been approved and just waiting on a mail of getting the NOA2 hard copy in hand to be sent to my Fiancee back home in the Philippines. Since my K-1 is approved with NOA2 being sent to my home address. I need to know what the next step is? Kindly anyone please give me some feedback of what supporting documents we need to prepare on and I know she's getting close to getting her interview. Thanks everyone..

Can you apply for tourist visa, answer is YES there is nothing illegal about it. Would it have any impact on your pending K1 application, answer is NO.

Your fiancée will have to show very very strong ties to home in order to get a tourist visa while K1 is in process.

Engaged to USC, having a USC kid are good reason why she would not come back to her home country to complete the K1 process.

You might want to check if your petition could be fast tracked as you are currently deployed.

But you can always give a shot.
