Hi Guys,

My mother-in-law had applied for tourist visa at the time of my wife's pregnancy and she did not mention her state government job in the DS-160, but she was able to get the visa. She returned India after her stay in USA. Recently, we had planned her another trip and applied for tourist visa again in Kolkata. We did not mention about the job to be consistent with the first application. However, this time her tourist visa was rejected and my mother-in-law was saying that counsul had asked if she was working...

I am thinking about trying again in 2-3 months and this time I will ask her to get all the proof from her state government job and also make sure that she has shown her job in DS-160. However, I am worried will the consul deny that saying you had not shown that in the first and second time? Can she exmplain her mistake the first time and show all the proof of her job? Please let me know guys as the intention was not about lying, but things happened like that... I feel stupid that people want to show job that they don't have, but in her case it was the opposite...
