Hi guys,

I came to the states through fiance visa (my wife is an american) and got my 2 year green card accordingly. 3 months before the expiration day I applied for I-751. I received a receipt notice that it might take uscis up to 1 year to process it, so almost 8 months later I called uscis to check the status on my I-751. They said it was denied, they explained that uscis sent me a "Biometric" notice which I never received, also a few months after that they sent me another notice of denial of my application which I never received as well. (even though I was working in CA by that time my mailing address was in MA but I trust my mother in law and I'm sure she never received any letters from USCIS for me). USCIS made it clear that they can't re-open the case unless I provide a police report that somebody was stealing USPS mail in that area. I called USPS office they didn't have any reports.

How should I proceed? Re-apply for I-751?

Also, my wife is in NYC and she can't leave her job at this time and I moved to CA because of a new job. If I re-apply for I-751 do I put 2 separate addresses for myself and my wife? I mean it will look suspicious for uscis. I will have 2 most recent joint tax returns, + joint leases for 2 places back in NYC.

Thank you.
