hello everyone

I am a USC and I filed for my mom, who in turn filed for my brother once she got here. He was under 21 and married at the time she filed for him. 4 years later (ist wk of aug 2011) he went for interview in lagos and was told to go and do DNA to prove relationship. Very frustrating news it was. DNA was completed by mom and brother(Of course she's 99.99999 the mother) and was received back at lagos on Oct 7th. We've tried emailing about 4 times and all the say "it is under administrative processing....refrain from emailing. We'll let know know when it is completed..." It is becoming even more frustrating

My questions are:

1. what is this admnis processing and why are they doing such? when all the requested was for the DNA to be done?

2. Should I keep emailing or do I get my congressman/ Dept of State involved?

3. what is the right step to take to ensure my brother's called back

Thanks for your help in advance

I don't see how he's eligible for a visa. An LPR (your mother) cannot petition for a married son.

Nigeria is fairly high up on the AP list now days. It really started after the underwear idiot and spiked after the young man hopping planes with a bagfull of fake boarding passes. So now we all pay the price for these fools. It is a process that takes some time and is worse if you have a very common name. Hopefully it will be short for you.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
