Does anyone know the ball park of how much an immigraton lawyer costs in the State of California? I need help.

Are you absolutely sure you need one? If so be very picky! i have seen many cases where they are more trouble than they are worth!

Try these people. they will talk to you and give you answers to your questions. They will charge for work done too, as they should.

About $350 per hour.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Ya I definitely need to go off of recommendations. I am sure that I need one. My husband and I are dealing with irrational problems caused by the embassy. I cannot get an answer from the embassy why this is happening, so I need a professional to help me. My husband and I don't have very much money, so we are trying to figure out how much we should need.

You're better off contacting your congressional representative. They're free, and the consulate is required to respond to them. They can ignore a lawyer the same as they are ignoring you.

Before going all out and spending the big bucks for an attorney

You may want to see if a paralegal could assist you. They cost loads less

and know how to fill out all the paperwork, assemble packets, write compelling

answers to questions, etc :star:

Excuse my ignorance, I'm just learning the ropes. What does "touched" actually mean?

Thank you I already was approved and do not need help with the forms. This is concerning something else and immigration. Good suggestion though thank you.

It could mean anything from action being taken on your case or as little

as your file moving from one desk to another :star:

If you check your case status on the USCIS website, you're able to create

an account, enter your pending receipt numbers, and log in to see if there's

been any update
