My advice (and a few others' which are similar) is really the only helpful advice.

Now what that really means one can only speculate.

I don't like to speculate when it comes to a married couple. I think only they can sort it out between the two of them. Some mb peeps are not going to sort this guy's problem, and the only rational advice...when there's room for speculation, AND when the confidant admittedly has no experience whatsoever in that situation...is TALK TO YOUR WIFE.

If I were to bet the odds, I would have to say this gal is already screwing around on him. A lot of those gals are hitting the night clubs before their ol man lands in Bananastan or wherever they send him. I used to wait for the fleet based in the Bremerton naval base to deploy and I would hit the night clubs there that weekend. You could still see the ring marks on those gals fingers. That and it's been scientifically proven that women are way more likely to cheat on their spouses than men are. No surprise there.

Military wives are the worst. I mean if they got paid to hold a dime between their knees they would go broke in a NY second. Worst of it is that when a guy gets caught cheating usually he's been caught and that's that. When a gal does the same they have some bs excuse like it was the ol mans fault to begin with and that's why they lied and cheated on him. Iv'e seen this happen when I was in the army, and even more so working up on the slope. Guys go up there for 6 week hitches and they get the "email from h*ll". Nothing they can do about it seeing how they are stuck in the middle of nowhere on the Arctic Ocean and it drives them crazy. We have a saying here in Alaska...; "You don't lose your woman, you just lose your turn."

All I said was that this is between the wife and husband, and as I KNOW from experience that especially on military bases during deployments, destructive assumptions and gossip is dangerous to a marriage.....and THAT is good advice.

Seeing as you were Active - why did you not include all the goings on between those [ active duty personnel] whilst out on long TDYs? It goes both ways. But assuming and adding to speculation and gossip does not help.
