Can we get the driving license from India before visiting US and the same license can be used in US?

it all depends on what state you're going to on whether or not an indian licence is allowed, and would depend on the insurance company if they were to insure you too, it would be an idea to have the international drivers licence too just for translation sake. i drove on my UK licence and was told by the dmv that i didn't need to get a licence i could drive on my uk licence for a full year of living there
