Ankara Embassy- K1 affidavit of support

Hello All,

I have searched the site and haven't find any answer for my question. Our application is approved and has been sent to Ankara Embassy. The embassy has pre-appointment document screening system.

I have a co-sponsor to support my fiance and the co-sponsor should present a Notarized Form I-134. I was wondering if for the screening part, I should send the original notarized I-134 or I can send the copy? Does any one knows if there is a deadline for sending the package in?

I truly appreciate your advice.

You should send original signatures on those types of documents.

Ankara is one of the few embassies that require a notarized I-134 for co-sponsors, not petitioners. (the newer form does not require a notary).

Make sure you follow these guidelines

You should send in the package as soon as you can, there is a time limit on your petition once it hits the embassy (it's listed on the NOA2) - and if you do not act on it - they will cancel it.

However - you will have plenty of time to send in paperwork.

Ankara is a pretty easy embassy - just do all the paperwork they want, follow their guidelines and you should be ok.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
