NVC completed their review and the package is on its way to Ghana. My recommendation to everone is to research, research, research. Just as an FYI, I never received a letter from the NVC requesting information regarding the DS-230 or the Affidavit of Support. I am not sure it is because I did not wait for the request and the "6-8 weeks for a letter with further instructions" or they forgot about us. Just consider that while you are waiting to have the I-130 approved, begin gathering docuemtns for the Affidavit of Support and DS-230. The forms are easy to get and there are great list here on the required docuemtns on forums here and remember some of the documents can take a long time to gaither and delay your case. When the I-130 was approved and a fee was generated I paid the fee and checked daily for it to change to paid. The Affidavit of Support when I got it the next day I was able to mail it because all the documents were ready. Then I waited on the IV fee payment ($404) once that was marked paid I mailed the DS-230. I was able to complete and the just paid the fees, used the information here to anticipate their requst and put the documents together from the list from forums here. The NVC approved everything, I mailed the affidavit of support on I mailed the Ds-230 documents on 11/12/11 and when I called on today (11/18/11) everyting was complete. When I spoke to the operator I was told to call back on December 16th for the interview date. I am very thankful for the information I found here.
