ok well your accountant should be more available lol no matter how good. Only thing I can think of is if you have your PIN you may be able to access online or phone to at least see if it is filed or not. Never know how an embassy will view things but if you can say it is not filed and have proof of ext that should help. But its rather technical grounds. maybe someone will be long with a better idea or first hand experience of same issue.

I don't have anything do do with when or how my tax returns have ben filed for the past decade. Each year in February I simply give my tax information to my accountant, who prepares my taxes (usually at the last minute!) My income from Rental Property and work this year is near $65k, and I have copies of signed leases, bank deposits made by tenants, three previous years of tax transcripts, a copy of my Credit Report (760s), bank statement, employer statement, and a Co-sponsor--but my questions here is:

Will a lack of a 2010 tax form absolutely disqualify me, and if so will they accept am emailed copy of my 2010 taxes whenever I get ahold of them, or will a second full-blown interview be necessary?

Credit report has zero impact on the visa process. It's not applicable.

If your current annualized wage/salary income meets the requirements then the rest is often not needed. If it does not meet the requirement then the most recent year's return may be needed as the adjudicating officer may want to use line 22 of your 1040 as the income number evaluated. This is the standard (line 22 of the 1040) that self employed sponsor's are held to.

Regardless of how valid your excuse may be, please note the amount of suspicion risen with the other members on this forum.

Considering that your fellow forum members (whom are ON your side) are suspicious, imagine how the CO ( whose job it is to BE suspicious) will react during the interview.

Get the 2010 return or re-schedule

one of my friends had her visa pending, but she is in the US now, they had to wait for the recent tax return, the CO asked her the recent one, they were not approved right away but not denied also, after they sent the recent tax return she just waited for a week and she got her visa and flew to US the next day. but as you've said you have co-sponsor, they will look for you co-sponsors papers if he/she can support your fiance and her daughter. :)

The purpose of a Co-Sponsor is to meet income requirements. It is not a remedy for missing or incomplete information. Missing information, especially IRS tax information, may raise suspicion of non-payment or an attempt to hide tax liens.

Not saying that is the case, but in the case of immigration the burden of proof is on the applicant.
