Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has a similar timeline. I sent my application for AOS at the end of Sept. (currently on F-1, in the US and married with an American citizen). Did my walk-in biometrics on Oct. 7 and haven't received any news since then. My case online still appears under initial review. I was wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me (someone who sent in the application at about the same time as I did). Also, I was wondering if calling USCIS will give me a better, updated status...

Thanks!

Moved from AOS forum to AOS Status forum.

We are still in "initial review" after doing biometrics - they can take up to a year for the next step.

Calling USCIS will just show the status that is on-line in most cases - but feel free to try.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

I read from other threads that if it takes too long and you urgently need it (have valid reasons), try calling local congressman office.
