Does the USCIS Website work for anyone who is going through the Vermont Service Center?

Please only post if your visa if being processed by the Vermont Service Center.

If you are going through the Vermont Service Center. How long did it take for your case to show on the website? It has been over 2 months since my NOA 1 and still says case number is not in the system.

Just like to know if it works for anyone else who is being processed by the Vermont Service Center.

Iam being processed by VSC and Iam almost 3 months into waiting for the NOA2 and my case still does not come up. It works from some and it doesn't work for others. We might just be the ones that it might not ever work for or just might show when the petition is approved.

We are about 2 months in as well. A few weeks ago I called USCIS just to double check because ours wasn't showing up either. She looked up our case and reassured me everything was fine and that it is sort of hit and miss when it comes to cases showing up online.

The last time I talked to them in Sept 2011, the web site was not updated. Some parts of it might be but I know it was or is broke and not accurate. The web site is only for reporting. If you got a NOA1 from them, your case is being processed and I was confident of this but I called just to verify it. The lady checked the main computer system and she told me it was in there and being processed. I would probably call at least once just for your peace of mind.

Make sure you put your number in correctly, ... rather than incorrectly.

But, still...

.... do I need a new signature, .... "There is no Ryhme or Reason to the uscis Website".

DOES anyone here understand the concept of "Buearocrat"? (I know, I didn't spell that right, but... probably, neither could they.... pun intended).

There use to be a phrase passed around a construction site I worked at as a young kid: "CLOSE ENOUGH FOR GOVERNMENT WORK".

07/27/2011...........NOA1 received.

12/05/2011...........RFE received.

12/13/2011...........RFE response sent.

12/16/2011...........RFE RESPONSE received by Vermont S.C.

12/22/2011...........Teased by a text-message from uscis, saying they have received my response to the RFE.

12/30/2011...........LA VISA APROVADOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

01/12/2012...........Case Sent To Bogota Colombia, from the National Visa Center.

02/09/2012...........Schedule Interview.

03/23/2012...........Interview (to take place then)!

04/07/2012...........Arrived in USA.

07/01/2012...........MARRIED!

What next?

.......How the days DO slip away!

I had the same problem...mine didn't work for two and a half month, but now it does!

You can call USCIS and report the problem.

Sometimes I think it would have been better not reporting the problem, cause now I check it more often then I should :)

If you got a NOA1 from them, your case is being processed

It's more accurate to say that if you got a NOA1 from them, your case is in a box waiting for an USCIS employee to finally grab your folder and process it. One might think that your case is being worked on the whole five months it takes, but in reality your case sits untouched until an employee finally grabs your folder and works on it. If there are no problems, then your case is started on and approved only 20 minutes later. All of the rest of the five months is spent just waiting for the USCIS employee to grab your folder.

I had the same problem...mine didn't work for two and a half month, but now it does!

You can call USCIS and report the problem.

Sometimes I think it would have been better not reporting the problem, cause now I check it more often then I should :)

My case doesn't show up in the system and I have come to realize that it's actually a blessing.
