Money order

Hello

I wasn't able to purchase a money order that was worth more than $500, so I went ahead and purchased $500 and $180 denominated money orders for a total of $680 for my N-400 application.

1) Will this be OK?

2) The money order doesn't have a "Memo" or "Subject" line where I can enter my A-number. Any suggestions?

I recommend a personal check instead... I would cash them and write a personal check... this way you can also see it clear. If a personal check is not your preference, then probably I recommend a cashier's check... I would be very skeptical about sending two different MOs that total the correct amount...

Only if you pay with a personal check you will be able to tell if or when it has been cashed.

With a money order you may have to wait 90 days, then report it lost, at which time then USCIS attempt to cash it, and kills your N-400 application. Or you don't report it lost, and a few years later nothing has happened. Always use protection, whether you have sex or deal with USCIS.
