Please help! I am in the process of getting my paperwork together for the I-485 Adjustment of Status and I have a few questions.

1. On Part 1, ADDRESS info, what is my best option? My husband and I live in an apartment right now, but he uses a P.O. Box for ALL mails, and never used and is against using the mailbox here at the apartment. Should I write my physical address in the "Address" slot and the P.O. Box (mailing address) in the "C/O (in care of)" slot? OR, is it OK to use my mother-in-law's house address, since she just lives around the corner and it's much more permanent? And if it's OK, do I write her address on the "Address" or the "C/O (in care of)" slot?

2. On Part 3, where it says "Nonimmigrant Visa Number," is this the one that says 'Control Number' on my Visa? It's a 14-digit number here that starts with 2011xxxxxxxxxx. I just wanted to make sure, since the sample form on the site only showed an 8-digit number for it.

3. Aside from the certified copy of the marriage license, do I also need to submit wedding pictures etc. as supporting evidence? Also, a friend of mine says I should also include evidences such as copies of joint bank accounts, rent/utility bills etc. showing both my name and my husband's on it? Is this true?

THANK YOU ALL very much for your help. You've helped us a lot with our K-1 Fiancee petition, and now that we are on the next step, we are needing your help again. Thank you!

1. Put your Street Address and number where it asks for it, and the PO box in the "care of" section

2. No. It's the red number on your visa

3. No. You save all that other evidence for interview.

There's an AOS thread in my signature that should help you.

Thank you, Vanessa&Tony, for answering my questions. Now my husband wants to just put my mother-in-law's address on there and nothing else since he didn't receive NOA1 on our K1 application before, would this be OK?

As the "in care of" address yes. But not for the physical address because you're saying that's where you live and it's not. I recommend the PO Box myself for the "in care of" address. A lot safer.
