Unless the specify to arrive early, be there 5 or 10 minutes earlier than the time mentioned. My oath ceremony time was 7am, but that was when I should arrive. It did not start until 9am since there were 1548 people attending....

Congratulations!!!!!

Didn't your oath letter depict a starting time? Our last one said ceremony started at 3:00PM, but show up between 1:30 and 2:30 PM. Elected the latter as was a very long line for security, but still seated at 2:30 for a rather long 30 minute wait. Collecting the oat letters and green cards went fast. But that security was a drag, just as bad as airline security. Teased a woman guard about making all of us walk in naked to speed things up, she said if they did that, she would quit.

It took me 24 minutes from the entrance of the parking lot 'til I got my car parked, then another 10 minutes of time to walk. Be there early, just in case, and don't forget a pen so that you can fill out your N-445 once you are there.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Thank you all for taking your time to read and respond. It's official...   i am a US citizen as of 11.30 a.m this morning!

The ceremony did start late but once the judge entered the court room, all was done within half an hour. Total number of all the new citizens - 70. I am glad my hubby, two sisters and a friend made it to the ceremony. Once again thank to all the VJ members for your help through out this journey.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.
