Hello there Guys, I wanted to ask for your opintion on this topic, I will try to explain in best details as possible. This is regarding adding my family name to my Wifs Name. Of course her passport did not have our family name because we wen't married then and when the Marriage Certificate was made, the Indian government looked at her Passport, so we couldn't add my family name to my wife's name. Now that she is in the US, I wanted to know what is the best way to have my Family Name Added to my Wife's name. I will be calling USCIS and ask what is there thoughts on this. I was going to go to Social Security office and I wanted to add my Family Name to SS Card. Anyone in my situation, please share your thoughts on this or even in general, what would be the best step to take, thanks all!

Josh

SHE will need to change her GC by filing an I-90 and paying the fee. She shouldn't just change her SSN because then it won't match her GC which is her legal name. She can still be called by your last name but her legal name is what is on her GC.
