No Biometrics letter, case not found, cant open a service request

Hello!

It's been more than 30 days since I received my NOA1 for AOS & EAD, and I havent received the Biometrics appointment yet.

I called USCIS yesterday, and the first person I talked to said he could not open a service request, because he could find my case online, and I said I know! I go to USCIS website "case status" and it doesn't show anything...it says my case was not found, but I know this is normal, so I am not worried about that.

So, the person transferred me to tier 2, and the lady found my case. She said they are processing it, and also said the reason I havent received the appointment, is because they havent scheduled one yet, and told me to wait.

Is anyone over here going through the same situation? I want to have my biometrics done and dont want to wait anynome, hihihi!

Some areas are more backed up than others and take longer. You are within the normal time frame to get biometrics - our biometrics appointment was scheduled almost 3 months after our NOA1 but our entire case was still processed within the normal 4-6 month time frame. The reason the first person couldn't find your case is because the first person you speak to when calling USCIS is basically a call center representative.

I would suggest you look through the "similar timelines" feature here for people in your area to see how long biometrics is taking for them. You can also check the USCIS website for the overall time AOS is taking at your field office.

Just thought about coming back here to update my situation.

After 2 days after I posted this, I checked my case at USCIS, and for the first time there was a status for my case (Initial Review). So, I called USCIS to try to have a service request opened (since the excuse they used for not opening one, was because my case was not found online), anyway, so I called them and they opened a service request for my Biometrics delay, and 4 days later I got my biometrics appointment on the mail!
