Hi,

Today I was supposed to have an my first job interview to work at McDonald's but they wouldn't let me go ahead with the process because I didn't have my hepatitis A shot (they never mentioned this when they called me for the interview by the way...) I explained that I had hepatitis A when I was a child and that when I had my medical for the K1 visa, I was not required to have that shot. In fact, I've been doing my research online and I've found that once you've had hepatitis A, you do NOT need the shot since you are immune for life. My question is, has anyone had this problem before? Do all restaurants ask for this shot?

McDonalds had a huge issue with Hep A being spread to customers by employee in 2009.

also your sate page is a good place to look as well for information. On requirements.

All food handlers* in Saint Louis County will need to be vaccinated against hepatitis A.

looks like its the law in your state as a food worker that you have to be vaccinated.
