I called the USCIS; they resent it to the correct consulate. Depending on how long it's been, you could also contact the consulate directly and ask them to forward it to the correct one.

Did you ask the NVC to send a copy to the right consulate? I would start there.

I called to NVC yesterday and they sent my petition to MUMBAI consulate but my state is under NEW DELHI consulate. Even I mentioned on I-129f form but they sent petition to MUMBAI. What should I do now please help me because I don't want any delay in our case.

You can have the application moved by doing the following.

1. Call / contact Mumbai with your Mumbai case number and request them to move the petition to new Delhi as that is your district of living. State that it was on your papers and the NVC sent it to the wrong place and you need it moved.

2. Call / contact New Delhi and tell them your case was sent to Mumbai instead of new Delhi and inform them that you requested the case be moved to New Delhi. Give them any information you can about the case including the Mumbai case number etc.

Then wait for responses and hopefully they move the case for you.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
