Hi,

When I file AOS................ under last name, do we write my wife's last name b4 marriage or after marriage?

Will it create confusion? We haven't changed her names on any documents

Interview - February 13th APPROVED! day 152

April 6 - wedding date day 204

Aug 22 - AOS interview date day 101-total days 342

Sept 29 - green card arrives, done until June 2008 day 140-total days 381

2008

June 30 - I-751 mailed total days 1025

2009

March 9 - Removal of Conditions approved! total days 1277

If she is taking your surname you can file the AOS documents in her new name.

I agree with Carrie, if she is going to take your surname it will save hassle later when trying to change her name

Thats what i thought too, but we have no documents showing her name w/ my surname...would the marriage cert. be suffcient....will they be able to put one and one together?

Hi,

When changing my surname to my husbands surname on any documents, bank accounts etc all i used was my marriage cert to show new last name and passport as photo id.
