My husband Andrew and I are submitting all the paperwork required in the coming weeks to apply for my change in residence status. We need help with the I-864 form, and we are not sure what to do! With what he makes (36k) we meet the requirements for the poverty limits for our household of 2. I am making right now 65k, working here in the USA (I came as F-1 student, finished PhD and working now on OPT) so he suggests to put my salary in the form information as well, along with proof of employment etc. But I think that since with his salary we meet the income requirement and that the forms say only to include co-sponsors or the immigrants salary if the requirements are not met, then we should keep my salary out of it.

What do you all think?

Thank you so much for helping us out!

Don't make it more complicated than it already is... if your husband makes well over the 125% poverty level, then you're fine with only his income.
