I worked as hostess-promoter for different agencies. It's a bit like a freelance job, so it happened I worked one weekend for an agency, another weekend for another agency, etc. The agencies sent me certifications for the work I did for them. I didn't listed the actual days, I just put the months and year in which I worked for them.

Hi,

me and my US citizen fiancè are filling out the papers for the K1 petition. I'm having some problems with the part of the G-325A form about the occupations. I'm Italian. I've been studying at university during the last 5 years (with an interruption of 2 years) and in the mean time I did some little jobs with different agencies (like a lot of them), often contract jobs or per-diem jobs (hopefully you understand what I mean).

I'm not really sure of how to put all this in the form... can someone give me some tips?

Also, can I visit my fiancè once the petition is submitted? (I would enter the United States with Visa Waiwer Program)

Thanks in advance

B.

During these periods you were "self employed" You do not need to list each client. List "self employed" your home city and country and the nature of the work you did in general terms

Yes you can visit in the VWP, bring evidence that you will return to Italy.

You don't need to list every single job. Just list the ones where you received a W2 from your employer.

If he received a 1099 he is self employed. So state.

A business or person that gives you a 1099 is NOT your employer, by law, and would not appreciate being listed as an "employer" as it has legal and tax ramifications that they obvioulsy did not want which is why they hired you as an independent contractor. If you receive 1099s you are SELF EMPLOYED, by law, and should state that. If you got a w-2 then you are employed by that person and they should be listed. It is entirely possible and acceptable to be BOTH employed and self employed at the same time and your G-325 can so state...

June 1, 2009-Present Self employed, Tulsa OK, USA computer programming

July 1, 2009-Present ABC computer corp., Tulsa OK, USA, computer programming

July 1, 2008- June 1 2010 HGT Computer Corp., Tulsa OK, USA computer programming
