I'm the petitioning sponsor for my parents.

I don't know what to write In question 23 -My current individual annual income is:_____

because I just started a new job last month and my salary is $11 an hour. How do I calculate my annual income in this case if my working hours per week vary?

Also, I didn't file a tax return for 2010 because my income was too low (below 9000.00) and prior to 2010 I wasn't living in the US. What should I do?

I'll appreciate any help

US citizens must file US taxes even if they were not living in the US.

You should file back taxes.

Hi,

In my case, I worked as a part-timeintern & was paid per hour.I asked for a letter from my employer (actually, it was an automatically generated letter). On that letter it shows how much I earn (assuming that i work full-time ,and if i work for one year for this company). I wrote that amount on my I-864 & attached the company letter to it.

I asked the same question here in VJ & that was people's answer too.

good luck

Mitra
