Hi,

I have a question about a relative of mine (my uncle) who is a USC. My uncle has been living in the US for 35 years, he and his wife are working full time, have their own house. My uncle need someone from his family side who can help him with house work....Basically he is a Cancer patient (went through 3 cancer operations) and he wants someone who he trusts to work for him and his wife. I/he heard that immigration services do have some type of program for USC cancer patients that they can sponsor someone to help them with their home chores..... this person who they want to bring from outside US is a girl who is 25 years old and she is a far relative of us. He and his wife is ready to pay for this girl's expenses as far as food - accommodationon- healt insurance and all .... the reason they want this girl, 1- because she is trusted person 2-they can not afford to pay for someone here in the US, this means she will not ask for wages form them or she will not come here as an empolyee, NO, So if you think this is possible what kind of visa they can apply for or what type of form they need to fill for her visa?

Thanks

Not going to happen. Plenty of unemployed Americans in the care-giving field available to work.

There is no visa for this person that they can apply for. There is no "distant relative visa".

They will not pay her any money ... its not employment matter just someone who is helping a US citizen, there is no one in the US who can work for free for them or they need to ask the governor to pay for someone who can help them ??

This helping is considered work in the US and a person would be paid for it. There is no visa for a relative to come and work for free or being paid in housing/meals.

The governor is not going to pay anyone to help them.

There is no visa at all for this distant family member to move to america to help them.

They must find another way.

Have they tried advertising on craigslist?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
