I feel like im more excited than he is for the interview on Nov. 29. Im counting down the days; its been a long 9 months. Im shopping for things for him so he'll be prepare for his first winter in Jersey. I just want him here for the xmas. Im a little ahead of myself but how long does it take to receive the visa after the interview and can it be picked up instead of delivered. When does the person apply for the ss card.

Greatly appreciate it.

SS card can be applied for 2 weeks after entry. It is not needed to file for AOS though ( just in case you run into trouble trying to get it ).

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

That is nice, like your optimistic attitude, hoping everything works out well for you too. Remember reading somewhere on visajourney too that you can call your town/city and also remember reading that the paperwork shows that your fiance is arriving to marry so that can be presented as well. If I come across the information again will let you know. Best to you :) wow that is so nice, truly, truly like your positivity.

Continue to enjoy the positive vibes! In terms of the visa I think we got ours in 10 days...DHL delivered to Mo Bay and hubby picked it up. The last poster is correct, you can apply for the SS number two weeks after entry. My recommendation is check out your state/city's requirements for a marriage license, here in NJ a SS # is needed to apply and there is a 5 days waiting period. Believe me, you will start thinking of all the little details as you get closers...you will be busy

All the best!

Hey I'm in Jersey too, so we're doing the same thing!!! LOL!!!!! The embassy usually does not allow ppl 2 pick up their visas they send them to the DHL counter which is located inside the embassy ( so once you're approved you just walk down to there counter). So DHL will deliver to any business in JA. Or you can pick it up from there Kingston or Montego Bay location. Choose to pick it up in Kingston!!!!!!
