Scheduling Concerns

Been hearing about some VJers choosing their interview sched before receiving the packet from the US Embassy.

According to VJ Flowchart:

" #8 Forms and Checklist sent to Beneficiary

Forms and Checklist sent to foreign Beneficiary (Fiance/e).

*This will be sent out within a week (typically less) from when the embassy processes the received petition. This package will include a checklist of items and paperwork that must be collected. Some will be sent back asap, and others will be sent back later or brought to the interview. "

Any idea what's on the checklist so I can go ahead and choose my sched already? I even read somewhere about someone who got her packet AFTER her interview. I just wanna know what the checklist consists of so I won't worry about missing anything. :)

Packet 3 Sent :

Packet 4 Received :

Interview Date :

Interview Result :

Do I have to wait for Packet 3 and 4 before I can have the interview?

SOOOO CONFUSED. :help:

Scheduled, interview, had interview, and still havent gotten packet. So if you have your case # go ahead and schedule the interview, gather you documents , get you medical , and go do the interview. Good Luck

I'm glad I saw this post. I didn't realize this was possible. My fiance and I have already gathered the paperwork for the interview, and the police certificate should come next week. Our estimated NOA2 is within the next 3 weeks so we're very excited and hoping all goes well that he might be here in early January

Yeah it is possible at the embassy in Manila.

This is the checklist:

Do not mind the packet 3, packet 4, etc... it does not apply to the Philippines beneficiaries...

Hi! I just want to clarify, coz I'm quite confused as well... Are these the only instructions/letters included in "packet 3"? Are the items in the packet same for everyone? So a lot of people have done this in advance (payment, schedule for interview & medical) and did not have any problems in the end? It's been almost two weeks now since my case left NVC and I'm still waiting for the letters/packet that USEM supposedly will send to my fiance...

Yes... its the same for everyone... no packet... some receive a letter from the embassy informing you that you got approve with instructions and websites of where to go to schedule appointment... the above link i provided is from the Manila US embassy website... Goodluck!
