How will that change anything? Have you paid any attention to who we elect as President? You really think it matters when they popped out of a womb?

I think it's important for everyone to be first class. Colin Powell was US burn but his parents were Jamaican and he had a cousin who worked on the London Underground. Madeleine Albright was foreign born as was Henry Kissinger

All these top talents were disqualified at birth while Mike Tyson and Charles Manson were qualified - at birth at least. Schwarzenegger and other Governor's were foreign born. Schwarzenegger in particular has shown all the traditional qualities of an American politician.

Its an out of date part of the constitution that should be changed - like many things in the constitution - but Americans revere the Constitution like a catholic reveres a saint's finger bone - so nothing will ever change

George Washington and the founding fathers were born British and remained British to their 40's - and they became quite faithful to the hew constitution as it was understood at that time (fun time slave girls ok). If they can do it, why cant anyone else since then ?

I would not care if they changed it and while they are at it they could remove the term limits. We can limit the term every 4 years if we want to, and if we want to keep the same guy for more than 8 years...so what?

We can also go back to appointed Senators. It would be good if we could have someone that was not always in "campaign mode" and was not subject to campaign donations.

I just have to giggle when I see all these obvious Democrats on here that try to give some logical explanation as to why they simply cannot vote for any of THESE Republican candidates.

I also get a kick out of them watching the polls with bated breath (and yes, "bated" is the correct term) and urge us as to which is the better candidate.

You're so right. Cain is Obama's worst nightmare rofl.gif

I really fear a Cain / Obama matchup headbonk.gif

It would be an annihilation. All of a sudden Texas would become a swing state.

That's the reality.

Romney is about the only guy that stands a good chance of beating Obama.

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

I suppose you trust someone that delivers 2400 assault weapons to Mexican Narco Terrorists. Yeah, that is not scary at all. Please give me a break from the feigned outrage.

So what do you think of Eric Holder? Lying or crazy?

I dont trust lawerys or politicians ... they are very good at lying and yes many are also off the wall. I mean you have to be to do that.

As a start .... someone who does not hear or pretend to hear voices from god.

That's good.

As long as the 'normal' definition allows, for example, esteemed politicians like former KY (R ) Senator Jim Bunning to qualify as 'normal' since he (apparently) never heard voices, although during his 2004 Senate race:

During his reelection bid, controversy erupted when Bunning described Mongiardo as looking "like one of Saddam Hussein's sons." Public pressure compelled him to apologize. Bunning was further criticized for calling Mongiardo "limp wristed". Bunning's mental health was also questioned during the campaign.

In October, 2004 Bunning told reporters "Let me explain something: I don't watch the national news, and I don't read the paper. I haven't done that for the last six weeks. I watch Fox News to get my information."

And:

In February 2009, at the Hardin County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner, while discussing conservative judges, Bunning predicted that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would likely be dead from pancreatic cancer within nine months. Bunning later apologized if he had offended Ginsburg with his remarks and offered his thoughts and prayers to Ginsburg.

Ginsburg, of course, is still alive and serving on SCOTUS today nearly 3 years after Bunning made his remarks.

He's an example of what passes for "normal" among the I-don't-hear-voices crowd

Using deductive logic:

1. extremist Jews are responsible for the genocide on the Arab peoples (sic)

2. Scandal is an extremist Jew

3. Therefore, Scandal is responsible for the genocide of the Arab peoples.

Scandal,

you are using "deductive logic" that is only accepted in the deep South, you know, where it all starts with a wrong premise which is okay because God said it's okay.

The Twin Towers were taken down by Muslims

Mohamed is a Muslim

Therefore, Mohamed is responsible for taking down the Twin Towers

You may be an extremist Jew,

but you are not extremist Jews.

Going from a singular to a plural would be inductive logic, which is known as a fallacy.

As somebody who studied his stuff for many years, including advanced symbolic logic where arbitrary language is replaced by mathematical symbols, let me suggest you revisit the issue.

:P

P.S.

Too bad about F,D.R.

He's my hero, the by a wide margin best U.S President of modern times.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Totally agree with that - this 100% politics all the time divides the country

Could we sell the south to Cuba ? We might get enough to pay off the debt and we could have a nice time ever after. All the oil is in the north shale so we don't need Texas anyway

Wow the USA would be sane just like England but not so rainy - perfect !

We could throw in Dearborn Michigan (arab central) as a non contiguous part of the new confederacy/cuba to be known as "CONFUBA"

Obama s a lawyer AND a politician. Cain is neither. Who do you trust? Who do you find scary?

So you do not want crazy politicians but now say they "have to be"? You do not trust Democrats?

Who is more scary, someone that talks to God or someone that delivers machine guns to narco terrorists to be used to kill American and Mexican law enforcement officers?

I have always been a good judge of character and I go by what my gut tells me. I go with whomever has good integrity and right now no one in congress fits that bill. I think Obama is doing much better than the alternative at the time would have. I think that congress is the biggest problem right now ..... they are corrupt and dysfunctioal. If I were Obama I would fire all of them ... but he cant can he.

The problem is the system that is fed by corporate money. Take corporate money out of politics and acknowledge that a corporation is no person, and we'll be on the way to sanity again.

Not sure if we could sell the south of Cuba, but if we can't sell bombing Iran to the American people, perhaps we'll find out that those commies in Cuba had weapons of mass destruction all along -- known as dangerous cigars -- and bomb Cuba instead? That would keep the ball for Haliburton and Blackwater running for a while and will show them what we Americans think of socialized healthcare

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
