Hi All,

I will appreciate if anyone can help me find answers to some of my questions. I live in Texas, USA and following is the detail of my case:

- Got married in April 2011 in Lahore

- Came back to Texas and filed I 130 for my wife in March

- Got a letter from USCIS on Nov 8, 2011 stating that my application has been approved and is being forwarded to NVC

- The letter said that "The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning (beneficiary) concerning furhter immigrant visa processing steps."

My questions are:

1. What is going to happen next?

2. Do we have to fill in some new forms or something?

3. What kind of information will be required for the next steps?

I am asking these questions so that i can prepare the necessary paperwork in advance, preventing any further delays. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1. You will be assigned a case number the NVC.

2. Yes, you will fill out a choice of agent form(you will receive from NVC), I-864(Affidavte of support), and DS-230(visa application). You can research more of each item on here to get more details about each form and how u can fill out.

1. You're gonna find Ling Che here on the Wiki, and read it, copiously.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
