Back in the 90's used to fly PAL. Never had any problems and I thought service was fine. Haven't flown them since 2005.

Have flown EVA and Cebu Pacific back in the 90's also and both were great. Not sure if Cebu Pacific is still around.

Cathay Pacific great.

KAL great.

Lately I have flown JAL and it was great.

Last time was Continental. Cheaper fares because lots of stops.

All coach seats are the same size. Cushioning may be different. I'm not really too fond of any airlines food. Ticket prices vary and depend on seasons and holidays and how far in advance they are booked and also number of stops/layovers.

I fly Hawaiian Airlines, partly because it flys into Phoenix, AZ. Has one stop in Honolulu with about 3 hours delay which isn't fun. They feed you well and the seats are ok. Things I don't like is they arrive in the evening in Manila, then arrive after midnight back in Phoenix (that sucks big time). Flying other airlines from Phoenix usually means two stops instead of one.

Hank I flew Hawaiian Airlines last year to Manila from LAX.I flew in August so daylight savings time hadnt begun yet. I had a 2 hour layover in Honolulu. wasnt bad Flight at all but for my size the seats were a little uncomfortable and when the guy in front of me put his seat back it was like he was in my Lap!:help: But when daylight savings time rolls around from LAX you have to spend the night in Hawaii to catch the connecting flight to Manila the next day. I have looked at their Website and for right now they have excellent Prices on Tickets, about 800.00 plus round trip after Christmas! I just dont want that overnight stay in Hawaii. Now if you fly you would get back to phoenix maybe waaaaayyy past midnight! I dont know though if your State observe it?

Top 10 Best Airlines in the World, 2011:

1 Qatar Airways

We used to fly Qatar all the time to PH when we lived in Dubai. They were a good, reliable airline with decent prices. They were also pretty good about feeding you but all flights had to fly through Doha which is a pretty bare bones yet crowded airport. They made some improvements over the years but even Mactan Int'l has a lot more to offer... Except they did have a big duty free that took up most of the middle of the airport.

I like KAL also! Great Airport! Incheon is a fabulous Airport! Ultra modern and I like those People movers! Just stand there and you move right along through the Airport looking at all the High Class Shops there! And for those that Smoke they have Smoking rooms.U pass by and the rooms are all glass and you wont see a sight of smoke anywhere cause of those high suction vacums they have in there! great Airport!

Schiphol used to be my favorite airport until I went to Incheon. Nothing can beat Incheon!

Nope Arizona refuses to participate in daylight savings time. last thing we need is more mid day heat! B-) Never have more then a few hour stop over in Honolulu with the flight originating from Phoenix.

I see the love for Incheon airport is growing, not a bad place to layover.

What is your Favorite Airline to Fly to Philippines and Why? Please list Airlines you have Flown from USA to Philippines and which was best value or most comfortable seats and most pleasant staff.

I personally have flown Delta, and Asiana.

Have to say Asiana blew Delta away. Seats where more comfortable, Food was much better, top shelf drinks and beer were free as well as much better and frequent meals. Very friendly helpful flight attendants. Only dislike was in JFK you have to get your bags and exit the airport then reenter and go though security again. But Asiana held the flight for us.

Would like to know others experiences and Airlines they like or dislike for flights form the USA to Philippines. Do you fly into Manila, Cebu or Clark?

I love KAL

Cathay Pacific.

Great service - Goes above & beyond to assist their customers

Good food (free).

Good on-board entertainment.

Great lounges @HKIA.

One of the easiest & best airport to transit through - HKIA.

For me personally - convenience. I have 4 daily flights to choose from (flying out of NYC -JFK).

Excellent/one of the best first class in the world - If you fly them in first class then you would be spoiled & wouldn't want to fly coach any more.

To me it is an airline that gives you great service & product that makes you want to come back again.

Again, and again , and again........got food poisoning last time I flew Cathay Pacific.....service was mediocre at best. Flown PAL two times in 10 and the facilities weren't the best but service made up for it, everyone was polite and helpful. Any flight that takes me to see my honey......is the best.....period!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience on Cathay.

I have flown Asiana Airlines, EVA Air, China Airlines, Cathay, Singapore Airlines, United & a host of other airlines. For MY (and not someone else) personal experience the top two in my book are Cathay & Singapore airlines - they blow all the others out of the water. For me, I want the total package - service, food, entertainment, facilities, etc,. and I will pay extra to get it.

I have never flown on PAL (as I am on the east coast) and cannot comment on them. I have flown Cebu Pacific & I do like their service.

Once again my post is based on MY personal experiences.

Question - how was the "service mediocre at best"? You should share your experience with the readers.
