what are the forms/documents that the consulate will take and never return during the interview? what forms/documents should i duplicate? will it be ok if i'll cover my fiance social security number in forms? because it's too personal and we're worried maybe a wrong person might have it.

thanks!

The D's Forms will not be return to you as well as your birth certificate, cenomar, NBI clearance. but others will be returned to you right away. However, its always good to be properly documented on your interview date. The burden of not properly documented lies to the applicant.... I advise follow all the instructions exactly.. Good luck and GoodSpeed

Bring the original and a COPY of all documents. Do not leave until you have your originals back. The only original they need to keep is the police certificate.

You cannot cover your fiance's SSN

If identity theft is your concern by leaving your fiance's SSN number visible, you have other worries. They already have the SSN, plus date of birth, address and EVERY other piece of information required to steal an identity.

The USCIS and DOS process literally MILLIONS of immigration documents each year. Somehow, their employees manage to stop themselves from taking our identities.

Do yourself a favor. Stop trying to overthink the process and worry about the things you'll need to pass your interview.

Why take a chance that the Consulate will not accept your documents if you block out the SSN? Your fiance has a much better chance of identity theft if he makes purchases online or by using his ATM card...
