I'm sorry but it should be a simple explanation (not that we're owed it). Religious reasons? Financial reasons? Health reasons? We're not asking for your life story, just Why can't you fly to her? Why can't you go to another country to meet (if visas to the US are hard for her and for you to her country). Why can't you take a cruise? What explanation did you send to USCIS?

Your not going to get an answer here Vanessa but a long winded bunch of words. I doubt this is even real.

I agree something really fishy.

And I agree with everyone who said, that approval is unlikely.

If your RFE response is anything similar to what you have written here you might want to consider figuring out a way to meet. I know time is precious but why is it you cannot wait to meet her and THEN file a petition?

And yes, skype is wonderful and surely, loads of people on VJ use it for communication however I for one learnt more about my then fiance through the first week of meeting IRL than a year worth of skyping. My wild guess it that USCIS knows that and rely on primary evidence of having met for the first round of requirements. They are already aware of you not having met her so is it safe to assume to did not include any letter of explanation with the original petition?

An explanation was provided in initial submission and later they requested further evidence, more details which have been submitted and tried to do it in as timely fashion as possible. The original submission costs me over $70.00 to send due to the weight of the package. Provided as much proof of evidence of the relationship as possible along with explanation of why unable to meet. And agree if it were possible during that time to meet within the 2 year time frame required, 100% agree it could have been more informative, perhaps. The funny thing though it seems that the time we had spent talking on the phone prior to any visual assistance, you can really get to know the person, in my opinion.. found was more in tune to what was being said. Maybe as many mentioned it won't get approved and if it doesn't I am sure something will work out, not sure what, but something where we will be able to meet and then if need be refile. Thank you for your interest and the best to you in your journey as well :)

In the time it took to dance around the question you could have said you'd rather not say. Everything I've read said they do not approve I 29f without a face to face meeting. Tgis includes having spoken to someone who applied and was rejected. Good luck!

Thank you for your well wishes very much appreciated! :) Have read there are waivers for this but it seems the majority as well as yourself stating that it will not get approved, well if that comes to be; the positive side is that having had done the process then will be familiar with the procedures if a refile is required. Glad everything has worked out for your process, hoping the best for others who are beginning and hope they do not have any obstacles that could cause an unapproved status.

I'm still curious to know what "Circumstances beyond our control" means? Is it religion? Family? What? Can you please pacify my curiosity and say what those circumstances is? Or at least just say "Sorry, it's personal" Maybe we can help you meet if you tell us?? There are many people who have overcome seemingly impossible obstacles but if you don't say we cant help.

Just happened to see you got married in August, congratulations, that was recently and your timeline seemed to move pretty quickly. In regards to the RFE details rather not go into it. LOL, my original post was to find out about what indication was meant upon receiving an A# even though had received a RFE. From all the reading had done it showed that you do not obtain an A# until you are approved, so was confused when had received my RFE and it had an A# assigned already. Thank you for offering to assist regarding the RFE very kind of you; my response to the RFE was sent in already weeks ago. Someone had asked what kind of application did I have so answered them and just mentioned as in passing about the not haven't met my fiance but wasnt looking to go into it. LOL this is my first time on any kind of forum, etc. Thank you again, though for your concern.
