Visiting Spouse

Are there any stipulations that say I can't visit my spouse in her country of origin while her visa is processing in the US? I am well aware the visa applications have to be filed in the US so it would be kind of hard to continue the process while in Australia, however, I have a family member who can act as a proxy for mailing the forms after we fill them out.

Also, I heard the wait times for visas that end in immigration have varying wait times as per country of origin of the foreigner. Does anyone know what the wait time is for citizens of Australia? Or is it around the same time as this website says for visas of that class in general?

If I understand this correctly, you are the USC? If so, I see no reason why you cannot go and visit your spouse as often as you like. Just adhere to any visa requirements you may need to go there.

Yep, I am the USC. I just wondered because I heard somewhere she can't come to the US to visit me while her permanent residence visa is processing.

You can visit, no problem.

She can visit as well, but she needs strong ties to her home country to overcome the fact that she has a spouse in the US. She's not from a high fraud country, so that works in her favor, but it is still at the discretion of CBP when she arrives at the POE.

But you can visit, absolutely.
