Hi all,

I have 2 questions:

1. My husband's income from last year was a lil under the 125% of the poverty line, so we're having a co-sponsor. The co-sponsor's income, alone, is sufficient. However, he files his tax jointly with his wife. Does this mean that his wife needs to fill out the I-864A?

Also, he's self employed, but his business claimed a loss last year. So, we were thinking not to include his schedule C (profit/loss for businesses)and just include his tax returns. Would this be ok?

2. I know that unauthorized employment is overlooked if you're a spouse of the USC. However, would the company that hires me be fines/punished for hiring a person w/o authorized working permit?

Thank you so much!!

Jasmine
