how to check if nvc has received my case

i got hardcopy of noa2 on nov,3rd. but i havent got my case number for nvc? so can vjs tell me how to check if nvc has received my case?

USCIS

2011/08/01:mailed i-130 to uscis ( petition for relative of permanent resident)

2011/08/05:receive hard copy noa1 (priority date 2011/08/02

2011/09/14:my husband became usc. and sent citizenship certificate to upgrade the petition

2011/11/03:receive hard copy of noa2 ( case category from f2a to cr1)

nvc

2011/11/28:receive case number started with guz

2011/11/28:called to nvc to assign my case to montreal, canada

2011/12/28:got new case number started with mtl

2011/12/29：completed ds 261 apply electronic processing

2012/01/03：optin acceptance email received

2012/01/04：IV bill invoiced and paid

2012/01/05:completed ds 260 sent i 864 documents to nvcelectronic

2012/01/11: sent joint sponsor financial documents and civil documents

2012/01/23：CASE COMPLETED @NVC.

2012/03/09:approved finally..

2012/03/12:received my visa.

timeline for IR5 APPLICATION.

2012/04/27: received NOA1 from uscis

2012/08/09;received NOA2 from uscis.

2012/09/07: received case number and ds 3032 from nvc..

2012／09／07： paid aos fee 2012／09／14： paid iv fee

2012/09/13:optin email sent

2012／09／21：optin received 。。 send aos and civil documents

2012／10／04：send current employment letters of sponsor to nvc

2012/10/18: received p4. interview date was assigned on 12/12/06.bless.....

call nvc, get the auto attendant voice response thingie,

then when it gives you yer casefile #, follow Saylin's wiki guide for Canadian NVC Processing.

Yup, I have a good memory.

You could help the 'others' trying to help you, as well, by

--choosing Canada on yer profile

--writing something in yer sig area that says you are in Canada, but PRC person.

nvc has received my case almost 2 weeks ago..but till now, i have yet got my case number, and i called operator yesterday, he asked me to wait at most 14 business days.... should i really wait? cuz i have got my hardcopy noa2 on 11/3

It took NVC from July 11 to Aug 18 before they "received" our case. I don't know why, but they seem to have a hard time assigning case numbers lately.

I called daily until I was given our case numbers. Don't be dismayed; unfortunately, this is normal.

Aug 18, 2011: NVC process begins
Oct 6, 2011: NVC process completed
Nov 4, 2011: Interview date assigned
Dec 2, 2011: Interview at Consulate (Result: AP - No reason given on 221g)
Feb 7, 2012: Passport requested by Consulate
(...Husband needed passport for personal reasons during this time...)
Apr 9, 2012: Passport mailed to Consulate
Apr 25, 2012: Visa issued
May 1, 2012: Visa in hand
May 31, 2012: POE at Montreal's Trudeau Airport
Early July: Physical Green Card received in mail. Yes, it's green!

March 13, 2014: ROC filed (went to VSC)

March 17, 2014: NOA

April 22, 2014: Biometrics appointment

December 9, 2014: Case inquiry initiated

December 11, 2014: Response: "The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required security checks remain pending."

March 14, 2014: Received NOA that approval had been given on March 10; expect new GC within 60 days.

suggest to call daily, circa 11:00 PM EST, get the AVR system (not a Human)

until

the AVR tells you the casefile number.

I can totally relate, as my frustration grew day by day with no movement by NVC. Believe me, though, it will come, and once it does, you'll be on your way to the next stop - waiting for the interview!
