After 2 weeks my sister got her visa so my father has send email to embassy for my case status after 1 week they send this mail

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding your immigrant visa case. Processing of your visa case was temporarily suspended under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act pending the receipt of an additional security clearance from the Department of State. While we are unable to predict the time frame for the completion of this process, please be assured that your case will be given every consideration consistent with current visa laws and regulations. As soon as we receive notification the Department that we may proceed with the issuance of the visa, we will return your passport and the visa packet using VFS services, the US consulate’s authorized courier agent. We regret any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.

They are doing a security check on you as it says in the email. This could take several months. All you can do is keep emailing the embassy about your case. It sounds like they will issue you the visa once security checks are done.

They told us 45 days of Mandatory AP.. for security clearance too and its been 105 days now... they try to give you only the minimum time frame but it can take a little longer or sometimes a lot longer. And im sure they also told Carolyn something similar and she's still there...there is no time maximum for completion

Not sure where your from because you have no timeline or anything listed on your profile but if your from a country that is considered high fraud and terrorism (Most middle eastern countries) they will do extra security clearance... some males get no ap, some get short ap of a few weeks some take a few months and a few (rare)take years
