I was going to ask if I can apply my son a tourist visa for him to be with me on Christmas in the US

In theory, yes. But tourist visas can be very difficult to get, depending on the circumstances of the applicant, and I strongly suspect that it is very unlikely, almost impossible, that an application filed now would result in a visa in time for Christmas.

We would need a lot more info about your son to estimate the probability of his getting a tourist visa, but I think it is very unlikely, even if he were likely to get one, that he would get it in time for Christmas. Also, it would be his legal guardians filing for it for him. I don't know if that is you or not.

Also, you're in completely the wrong forum for this kind of question, which will limit the amount and quality of responses you get. An admin should be moving this thread to a more appropriate forum at some point in the near future.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

You can certainly apply for one, I do not believe he needs to attend an interview.

December 2009 -- Visit to Malaysia.

February 2010 -- Applied for B2 visa, approved.

March 2010 -- Visited US.

April 2010 -- Returned from US.

May 2010 -- Sent in K1 Visa application.

July 2010 -- Received NOA2 in 71 days from NOA1.

July 2010 -- Packet 3 received.

August 2010 -- Cancellation of K1 Visa application.

You can apply, sure but I doubt it would be approved. There is a high risk of immigrant intent.
