As the title suggests, I cannot find my packet 4. I have no idea where it could be. I keep searching for it but I'm unsuccessful. I have my medical this coming Wednesday.. How bad is this? I know I'm supposed to have it but what happens if it's gone? What can/should I do?

Hi, I would suggest that you call or email the facility where the medical exam will take place and tell them what has happened and see what they say. I have read or even heard from others who had the same problem, that they were told that a copy of the letter they received from the NVC - (which has your specific case # & consulate where it will be processed etc.) or even a confirmation email for your scheduled visa interview, or DS-160 would allow you to go ahead a have the exam anyway. You could always try to email the consulate and see if they could email you a copy of the packet 4 letter.

Hope this helps and the very best of luck to you.

Bring your interview confirmation and write your MTL case number on it. Shouldn't be a problem. Some people never even receive packet 4 because it gets lost in the mail.

Definitely just make sure you have your MTL number!! I went to Seiden's in Toronto and brought the wrong letter.. I brought the confirmation print-out and the MTL number is not on there!! so bring the confirmation printout of your appointment, and write the MTL number on it. I had to call my fiance who thank god answered the phone and he gave me the MTL number and I was good to go. There's no other documents from your packet 4 that you will need. Bring your vaccination information. I brought also a letter from my doctor describing my good health and that I had my vaccinations as well as a computer printout from the doctor of my immunity from the titres test and the vaccine, and my flu shot.

He was very happy with all that info when the dr read it. In the meantime, your packet will turn UP!! The rule is when you can't find something, it's UNDERNEATH SOMETHING so start looking underneath things!

As long as you have your case number you should be fine. Packet 3 or a printout from the CSC website should be sufficient as well.

Thanks for the info, I ended up finding it in my fiancés tax paperwork. I was trying to keep his and ours separate so it didn't occur to me that it could be there. I'm just glad I found it, even if it's not essential. Thanks guys.
