Biometrics for K-2 visa holder (under 14)

Just read the Guide and saw this: "If the K-2 adjustee is under 14 years of age, they will also receive a biometrics letter but are only required to attend for photos."

Both kids 9 yo and 12 yo were asked to take fingerprints. We might need to update the guide.

they also took finger prints of my 7yo daughter, but not as detailed as my wife's and we only paid for biometrics for my wife not my child. I guess the US gov is just covering its bases without overburdening petioners.

I was not there, but the kid just came from school with fingers covered in paint. The immigration officer asked her to wash her hands multiple times to ensure the scans come out ok. Our family dentist pays less attention to our teeth
