A very helpful man in Guangzhou

I was given this helpful information and I feel compelled to pass it along in hopes that someone else may benefit from it. There is a man in Guangzhou named Mr. Xia. He rents rooms to people that are in Guangzhou for their consulate interviews. This past week my fiance Jie went to Guangzhou for her interview and stayed with Mr. Xia. As you may have heard, the hospital closest to the embassy shut down for Visa physicals. Mr. Xia took Jie to the other hospital for her physical and talked to her about the whole process. He lives very close to the embassy, I believe like a 3 minute walk. Jie told me the room is not very big, but was very clean. You do share a bathroom. Jie told me how appreciative she was that she was able to stay with someone from Guangzhou and he was able to help her with any questions she had, and helped calm her nerves. I believe from the information I had, the rooms rent for about 160 RMB/night, which is very reasonable for that area.
