Muslims against Crusades BANNED

Home Secretary Theresa May is banning Muslims Against Crusades, a group planning an anti-Armistice Day protest.

The organisation had planned to repeat a demonstration held last year, when members burned poppies near to London's Albert Hall.

Mrs May's order, which comes into force at midnight, makes membership or support of the group a criminal offence.

The organisation is closely linked to a host of other previously-banned groups.

Mrs May said she was satisfied that Muslims Against Crusades (MAC) was "simply another name for an organisation already proscribed under a number of names".

"The organisation was proscribed in 2006 for glorifying terrorism and we are clear it should not be able to continue these activities by simply changing its name," she said.

Muslims Against Crusades is the latest incarnation of an organisation originally set up by extremist preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed, who fled the UK six years ago.

It's interesting looking at the UK from the outside and seeing the difference to the US.

Anyone can insult anyone in the US

The state fare in Wisconsin had a nazi booth and they were screaming hate at the jews who were there

Eventually a jew threw himself into the booth and tried to choke a nazi

Couldn't happen in the UK as the police would ban the booth before it opened

There are laws against race hate in public - not in the US

I think the police are missing a trick in that they could record and infiltrate and follow and gather DNA on these crazies if they allowed them to come into the open

Then they could fabricate evidence and get em later

That would be J Edgar Hoover's way and it is pretty effective..

Or the Israeli way - follow em home and strangle them in their bed

The UK seems to be tough, but actually it is the softest way when you think of how other countries handle it

The US is a free country. Free Speech is meant to protect unpopular speech. Popular ideas need no protection.

I suspect the law in England is meant to protect the Muslims who are shouting hate at the service people

So, far from oppressing them, the law is actually saving them, and saving the people who would kill them and end up in prison themselves

Certainly Rush Limbaugh would be in trouble in any European country for his denigration of non whites. In the US he is allowed to perpetuate his hate speech in the interests of a theoretical freedom which can only exist at the expense of the minority

So instead of protecting minorities, free speech makes them defenseless targets of hateful majorities

Hitler would have been stopped in his tracks at an early stage had Germany had the law then, that it has now

In the US you can carry a gun to protect yourself, you do not need the government to protect you from your own opinions, you can do that yourself. ARMED free spech is the only type that works, which is WHY having a gun is the SECOND amendment. The first is rather useless without the second to protect it.

Hitler got away with stuff as long as he faced east toward the Communists. In fact, many in the west wanted a strong Germany to act as a buffer against Stalin. In America, the population was not largely isolationist as many would have you believe, but rather actively anti-Communist. We were already supporting the Nationalists against the Communists in China. In the European Colonial mindset, Nationalism and Communism were one and the same enemy.
